An Evening With MPP: A Disappointment

Dear all

Hope u had a nice weekends.

I feel 2 draw ur attention in regards to a weekend with Mesian MPP and UKEC. The fact dat not every1 of us had da chance to experience the meeting, I feel much obliged to share the experience we underwent for others to review and for us to ponder upon.

Da meeting was indeed a half-success. Truly I didnt really enjoy every single minute it went as it was fixed, rigid, less freedom and full of fiascos. I was been given da impression dat Firdaus n Iedil will conduct the meetiing be with da presentation and dialogues. It was come to my surprise dat an elderly-impolite-irrespectable MSD officer took control da whole evening. n telling ya, it was a bizarre. a complete nuts. They were too offensive, didnt let da idea flows naturally from us .. plus .. defensive. Every points we tried to convey been cut off without due respect.

Peeps,

I'm currently in a bit of a quandary, but I need ur help ere

Do u utterly believe dat cutting off someone's conversation without due respect is tolerable?

n 4 heaven's sake, dats wat happening to us.

wats da point off seeking suggestion if u cant identify da root of da probs? (sket2 cadangan..brape byk cadangan entah) grrrrrrrrrr

through out da whole discussion, I felt da whole universe was a spinning hotchpotch of blurred stars. n i remained silent n still 4 da first preliminary rounds.

n I think, the MPP are not equally represented. I've been told by one of da delegates dat they were selected to be in da trip. and some of them r not even da presidents and in the line-up committees. Been chosen solely on da basis of sharing da same aspiration.

wot da heck?!

can sum1 tell me wats going on?

Howeva, we contributed some percentage of da flaw.

Since da meeting was called in short notice, every1 of us came without doing homeworks (or initial research if u like). It results us having less-supporting info about da topics we debated.

I recall one of our members (Mr R) - R bukan nama sebenar - did not realise he made a false accusation by saying dere's no free newspaper distributed back in Mesia. Honestly i dun know either. but by simply say it blatantly, without asking, it shows how ignorant are we bout wats happening in our country. Probably on some subconscious level, we poured a flammable liquid into da burning fire. We put a shame on ourselves 4 not following da country's development.

In future, I hope, dis inconsistensies shudnt happen again. We shud be more careful in choosing our words and be accurate at pointing out da issues. Da council believes dat Mesian studs in the UK have loads of package to offer to our country. We are da future world-class leader (God's willing). We shud embark training ourselves to think, to speak, to debate, to criticise like a world class leader. (tumpang promote ain's coming PAN) We shud no more asking irrelevant question(s), stating facts without concrete evidence or simply making false accusation.

Also

I notice, we shud put our emotional behind our rationale. I know u passed a test of endurance three quarter of da event, but shud u keep it till da end, it wud be brilliant for all of us. We must never let emotion controls over our wisdom of minds. Future leaders r trained 2 control their anger and channel it thru da appropriate way
"Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Verily, your Lord knows best who has gine astray from His path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided" -16:125-
(firdaus, iedil pasnie blh lah lantik aku sbg mursyidul am UKEC) lol

Concomitantly, I'm not pointing at any1, but its for our own gud. enw, students do make mistakes. Dis is da best time 4 us 2 make errors provided we learn soon we discovered da truth. I do expect mistakes done by a student rather than by a politician cuz dis da very age we learn and we explore, to cherish and to adore what life is all about. n even we do make mistake,I bet it will be da best guidance in our future ahead. Do remember - experience is da best teacher in da world!

Sorry guys 4 taking too much of ur attention. I hope i'm not being rigorous to any1 ere. Just had da thought to share. "sharing is caring, caring is loving" katanyerrrrrrrrrr.

plus ...

dis wud be my report to da council since I wont be getting my travel reimbursement if i dun produce a report. so firdaus, can I have my reimbursement now?

Disclaimer notice: da council shall not be held responsible 4 all da points i've stated. all views and opinions expressed ere are personally mine n do not reflect da views and standpoint of UKEC n its members!!

U've been warned ...

roger n out

"Berkhidmat untuk UKEC".

Yours sincerely,
Z I

as usual, PICS 4u

Phewww ... Wot A Relieve !!

Hello, its Zackie again ...
Perhaps, we shudnt take dis too lightly. These days da world is no longer a safe place to stay. Its full of diseases, epidemics n illnesses.
Upon hearing below, I feel much relieved. Sumhow it reduces my worries n fear when making long calls* with family n frens. Well I believe dats 1 gud thing living in the UK. With 1000 off-peaks free minutes a month, u'll end up locking urself in bedroom, talking laughing crying with da loved ones.. (opsss sape tuh?)
I welcome 4 more recent studies n researches about da matter. Surely, it wud be pointless not to disclose da facts if they r truly damaging our life.
n one more thing,
I dun know y i'll be easily touched upon hearing n knowing C-A-N-C-E-R. My eyes wud brimming in tears realising sum1 died of cancer..its becuz he or she was in a helpless state despite modern technology of medicine coming to existence.
but
honestly 2 day I feel so down. n I cud understand y
Sape suruh hang gatai merelaa pi tgk Stairway To Heaven? (aka CheonKuKui Gyedon)
Yeah, I've watched da korean movie. 3 nites in a row mate!!! No joking. Sedey nak mum-push ok!! Surprisingly I found myself less crying watching da movie, but when I woke up in da next morning, my pillows r wet with tears.
I'll definitely put a review on dis series.
I'll Follow You Wherever The Place You May Go. Be It Heaven,

Study disputes cell phone-cancer link
By LAURAN NEERGAARD, AP Medical Writer Tue Dec 5, 4:00 PM ET
WASHINGTON - A huge study from Denmark offers the latest reassurance that cell phones don't trigger cancer. Scientists tracked 420,000 Danish cell phone users, including 52,000 who had gabbed on the gadgets for 10 years or more, and some who started using them 21 years ago.
They matched phone records to the famed Danish Cancer Registry that records every citizen who gets the disease — and reported Tuesday that cell-phone callers are no more likely than anyone else to suffer a range of cancer types.
The study, published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute' name National Cancer Institute, is the largest yet to find no bad news about the safety of cell phones and the radiofrequency energy they emit. But even the lead researcher doubts it will end the debate."There's really no biological basis for you to be concerned about radio waves," said John Boice, a Vanderbilt University professor and scientific director of the International Epidemiology Institute in Rockville, Md. "Nonetheless, people are."
So Boice and colleagues at Copenhagen's Danish Cancer Society plan to continue tracking the Danish callers until at least some have used the phones for 30 years. This so-called Danish cohort "is probably the strongest study out there because of the outstanding registries they keep," said Joshua Muscat of Pennsylvania State University, who also has studied cell phones and cancer.
"As the body of evidence accumulates, people can become more reassured that these devices are safe, but the final word is not there yet," Muscat added
Cell phones beam radiofrequency energy that can penetrate the brain's outer edge, raising questions about cancers of the head and neck, brain tumors or leukemia. Most research has found no risk, but a few studies have raised questions. And while U.S. health officials insist the evidence shows no real reason for concern, they don't give the phones a definitive clean bill of health, either, pending long-term data on slow-growing cancers.

For the latest study, personal identification numbers assigned to each Dane at birth allowed researchers to match people who began using cell phones between 1982 and 1995 with cancer records. Among 420,000 callers tracked through 2002, there were 14,249 cancers diagnosed — fewer than the 15,001 predicted from national cancer rates. Nor did the study find increased risks for any specific tumor type.

R We Wise Enough?? Hell No

Dear readers,
Please read the article wrote by Michael Backman and it was brought to my attention by Zaid Hakim. Undeniably wat he said are all bitterly true. Damm it.
I am strongly agree on all of the contentions below-mentioned. We are spending the money in such a wasteful way. We r wasting da effort n da sweat by placing our country on da world map but fail to draw da picture of equality and 'better-living' models in the country itself. Shame on me and the fellow Malaysians!!!!
Hence wat we could do? Sit doing nothing? Waiting 4 da next economic turmoil? (some experts forecast dat 2008 will be da fall of our economic growth ...n its worrying numbers of malaysians..I mean da alert-and-the-caring malaysians).
At the end of da day, I am questioning myself, why on earth da non-Malaysian realises this? Wat is he got to do with Malaysia? Why is so concerned by warning the government da danger in 19 years time?
n u know wat?
We r still debating on who is more islamic against others.
We r promoting da hell of "memperkasakan agenda nasional" without realising the actual-true-and-exact definition of agenda nasional.
We r launching 12 "Gagasan Negara bagi Menyokong Matlamat Wawasan 2020" but neglect da life of a 12 year old child who has to wake up as early as 0400, crossing da rainforest in barefoot for 4 miles just to get to school. (which I'm sure everyone agrees dat education is a basic rights for all)
Wat else? da list goes on....
so folks, come on. its da time for a change. I'm not interested to convey dis idea to our current leaders as they already got their own (not idealistic enough) agenda.but wud rather keen to share da inspiration with you, da younger generation who is gonna inherit da country.
Any takers?

MALAYSIA'S been at it again, arguing about what proportion of the economy each of its two main races — the Malays and the Chinese — owns. It's an argument that's been running for 40 years. That wealth and race are not synonymous is important for national cohesion, but really it's time Malaysia grew up.

It's a tough world out there and there can be little sympathy for a country that prefers to argue about how to divide wealth rather than get on with the job of creating it. The long-held aim is for 30 per cent of corporate equity to be in Malay hands, but the figure that the Government uses to justify handing over huge swathes of public companies to Malays but not to other races is absurd. It bases its figure on equity valued, not at market value, but at par value.

Many shares have a par value of say $1 but a market value of $12. And so the Government figure (18.9 per cent is the most recent figure) is a gross underestimate. Last month a paper by a researcher at a local think-tank came up with a figure of 45 per cent based on actual stock prices. All hell broke loose. The paper was withdrawn and the researcher resigned in protest. Part of the problem is that he is Chinese.

"Malaysia boleh!" is Malaysia's national catch cry. It translates to "Malaysia can!" and Malaysia certainly can. Few countries are as good at wasting money. It is richly endowed with natural resources and the national obsession seems to be to extract these, sell them off and then collectively spray the proceeds up against the wall.

This all happens in the context of Malaysia's grossly inflated sense of its place in the world.
Most Malaysians are convinced that the eyes of the world are on their country and that their leaders are world figures. This is thanks to Malaysia's tame media and the bravado of former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad. The truth is, few people on the streets of London or New York could point to Malaysia on a map much less name its prime minister or capital city.
As if to make this point, a recent episode of The Simpsons features a newsreader trying to announce that a tidal wave had hit some place called Kuala Lumpur. He couldn't pronounce the city's name and so made up one, as if no-one cared anyway. But the joke was on the script writers — Kuala Lumpur is inland.

Petronas, the national oil company is well run, particularly when compared to the disaster that passes for a national oil company in neighbouring Indonesia. But in some respects, this is Malaysia's problem. The very success of Petronas means that it is used to underwrite all manner of excess. The KLCC development in central Kuala Lumpur is an example. It includes the Twin Towers, the tallest buildings in the world when they were built, which was their point.
It certainly wasn't that there was an office shortage in Kuala Lumpur — there wasn't.
Malaysians are very proud of these towers. Goodness knows why. They had little to do with them. The money for them came out of the ground and the engineering was contracted out to South Korean companies. They don't even run the shopping centre that's beneath them. That's handled by Australia's Westfield.

Next year, a Malaysian astronaut will go into space aboard a Russian rocket — the first Malay in space. And the cost? $RM95 million ($A34.3 million), to be footed by Malaysian taxpayers. The Science and Technology Minister has said that a moon landing in 2020 is the next target, aboard a US flight. There's no indication of what the Americans will charge for this, assuming there's even a chance that they will consider it. But what is Malaysia getting by using the space programs of others as a taxi service? There are no obvious technical benefits, but no doubt Malaysians will be told once again, that they are "boleh". The trouble is, they're not. It's not their space program.

Back in July, the Government announced that it would spend $RM490 million on a sports complex near the London Olympics site so that Malaysian athletes can train there and "get used to cold weather". But the summer Olympics are held in the summer. So what is the complex's real purpose? The dozens of goodwill missions by ministers and bureaucrats to London to check on the centre's construction and then on the athletes while they train might provide a clue.

Bank bale outs, a formula one racing track, an entire new capital city — Petronas has paid for them all. It's been an orgy of nonsense that Malaysia can ill afford. Why? Because Malaysia's oil will run out in about 19 years. As it is, Malaysia will become a net oil importer in 2011 — that's just five years away.

So it's in this context that the latest debate about race and wealth is so sad.
It is time to move on, time to prepare the economy for life after oil. But, like Nero fiddling while Rome burned, the Malaysian Government is more interested in stunts like sending a Malaysian into space when Malaysia's inadequate schools could have done with the cash, and arguing about wealth distribution using transparently ridiculous statistics.

That's not Malaysia "boleh", that's Malaysia "bodoh" (stupid).
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
So wat say ye?
Please bear in mind that da article is not to reflect or to attack da UMNO Conference which took place days ago. Neither 2 combat da idea why all KULN leaders r given free flights to attend da less-than-a-week event but it is to reflect ourselves - R We Wise Enough in Spending The Money. (n please dun label me as anti-government figure. Its surprising me tho, upon returning from Nottingham Meet-the-Minister event, i was been identified as a potential Hizbi@Perikatan member.)
n luckily, my english-look-attire saves me from being listed by the SBs. LOL.
Have a nice day to all

NO TEARS 4 Rumsfeld, please !!!

George Bush's electoral woes and the subsequent resignation of Donald Rumsfeld was widely greeted yesterday with gloating, tinged with concern at the impact of a weakened presidency on issues ranging from trade to Iran.

While many countries declined to comment formally, leftwing governments and opposition parties, particularly in Europe, welcomed Mr Bush's setback. The sense of relief was echoed by religious leaders, analysts, and voices from the street in the Middle East and Asia.

Romano Prodi, the Italian prime minister, was optimistic. "The resignation means a speeding up of the change in US politics. We will see in the coming weeks what will be the new direction."
There was less optimism in Iraq. Nadim al-Jabiri, an academic and member of the United Iraqi Alliance, said of Mr Rumsfeld: "I don't think his resignation will have an effect on the ground, as our problems are too great."

Fattah al-Sheikh, an MP from the alliance led by Moqtada al-Sadr saw the resignation as a sign of defeat. "The US administration has decided to change its agenda for Iraq. Rumsfeld has become the scapegoat for the change to take effect. I expect [US ambassador Zalmay] Khalilzad to follow him in a matter of days." A spokesman for the French foreign ministry, the most prominent critic of the Bush administration in Europe, particularly over Iraq, said: "No comment. It is a domestic matter for the US." But Laurent Fabius, a former prime minister and candidate to head the Socialists in next year's presidential election, said: "A lot of Americans have realised that Mr Bush has lied to them."

More than 200 Socialist members of the European parliament issued a statement calling the results "the beginning of the end of a six-year nightmare for the world". The ruling Spanish Socialist party welcomed the result, saying the party hoped it would "help to change the course of US foreign policy". Concern for a weakened Bush administration was reflected by Denmark's prime minister, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, who hoped the president and Congress would find "common ground" on Iraq and Afghanistan. He added: "The world needs a vigorous USA."

Arabs relished Mr Bush's setback, but had little hope that it would mean a significant change in US policy in the Middle East. "There will be a feeling that justice has been done partly, although not completely," Mustafa al-Sayyid, a political scientist at Cairo University, told Reuters. In Israel, some analysts expressed concern that political deadlock in Washington might distract attention from problems in the region, primarily Iran. A Palestinian government official said that it did not matter to Palestinians whether Republicans or Democrats were in power.

Iranian state television said in a commentary that the Republicans suffered losses because of "Bush's wrong strategy in the Middle East" as well as "financial corruption in the United States". In Pakistan, an opposition parliamentarian, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, hoped for more. Mr Bush "deserves a Saddam-like death sentence", he said. The Chinese government is concerned that the Democrats, who champion protection of US jobs, will create obstacles to free trade.
Hugo Chávez, the Venezuelan president and arch-critic of Mr Bush, said: "It's a reprisal vote against the war, against the corruption. This fills us with optimism."

p/s: Due to my extreme hatredness to dis two figures, I wish not 2 insert their pics here. They dun deserve even a space in my blog...

CaNt taKe Dat aWaY

They can say anything they want to say
Try to bring me down
But I will not allow
Anyone to succeed
Hanging clouds over me
And they can try hard to make me feel
That I don't matter at all
But I refuse to falter
In what I believe
Or lose faith in my dreams

'Cause there's a light in me
That shines brightly
They can try
But they can't take that away from me
From me

They can do anything they want to youlf you let them in
But they won't ever win
If you cling to your pride
And just push them aside
See
I have, I have learned there's an inner peace I own
Something in my soul
That they cannot possess
So I won't be afraid
And darkness will fade

'Cause there's a light in me
That shines brightly
They can try
But they can't take that away from me

They can't take this
Precious love
I'll always have inside me
Certainly the Lord will guide me
Where I need to go

They can say anything they want to say
Try to bring me down
But I won't face the ground
I will rise steadily
Sailing out of their reach

Oh Lord
They do try hard to make me feel
That I don't matter at all
But I refuse to falter
In what I believe
Or lose faith in my dreams

'Cause there's a light in me that shines brightly
They can try
But they can't take that away from me

A bReaK oF SiLeNcE

OMG !!!

Zack Idris is back on stage. Yeah, he is !! After a long silence and disappearance (or summer hibernation if u like).

Some of da messages dat I received:

Where da hell have u been, man? R u dead or sumting? (paraphased according 2 da american accent).

Da Britons wud probably say hiya!! Where art thou? U've been missing 4 ages, mate. R U alrite (emphasis) ?

Finally da mesians' version wud be sumting like dis waaaaaaaa ... where r u? u see, its been a long time already since u last updated ur blog ok. We miss u, u know.

LOL

So guys, here I am, back on da track.
Wif niu look and niu spirit.
to da person who ruined my enjoyable brite summer - PISSED OFF!! No more tears, babe!!! I had enough of u and we're THRU!! Yup. 4 Eva.

2NDLY

Y am i missing? Wat have I done? Gud questions tho

1) Work ... work ... work ...
When I got home, I am already extremely saturated and exhausted, which result in my mood diving down 2 da bottom, preventing me 2 write and generate ideas from me mind. Hey, I've got some hot burning + boiling hot news ere. I met sumone @ work. We stayed frens till now n da gud part is dat - He makes me 4get 'bout sum1 n restore da rejoice in my life. He teaches me to 'live 2 da day' and 'no worries' thumbrules. Miss him terribly now. =)

2) Movie addictive syndrome
I dun know y but i've to admit dat i keep meself bz during da nites watching movies and films (romance i wud say) n to Mr Jonathan Scott, puh-leasssssssssssssseee, ther arent girlish thingy yeah!!! A Cinderella Story acted by Chad Michael Murray and Hillary Duff

n I rate 5 ***** 4 each of those.

3) Job Hunting
Yeah, dis needs most of my attention and care
application forms -> interviews -> assessment (makes me busy n dry)
Speaking of which, I sat 4 a Multi Task Accuracy Test (MTAT) held by Royal London. All I cud say - I screwed da test. (susah giler babas ....gilerr arr.. tahap gaban punyer susah) in da end, am not hoping 2 get high marks and not even surprised 2 learn I'll fail ... uwuaaaaaaaaaaa

4) My weekends r occupied
Yeah ... social time
As I received countless guests over da weekends, I got 2 entertain them and of course MYSELF. Since, my frens come from all around da uk, it wud be pointless if we spend put sat's nite at home doing nothing (bukan ada AF or OIAM pung). In short, we went out n chill out - have fun. Yeah, da whole saturdays nites. (mlm minggu arr katakan). I guess u probably wud know wat we were up to. LOL.
As 2 grant my faraway fren's wish, I list down da premises we went and spent
{essentials,axm,the queer, via posa, new york, hollywood studio and lounge (yg nie paling gempak n happening}

thanx 2 all 4 rawking my weekends nites in Manc (amoun, u satisfied now?)

p/s: in order to respect da holy month of ramadhan, we decided to cut-off all weekend nites..semayang terawih gitewww..

WAT ELSE YEAH,

5) Personal reason(s)
as it is nothing much 2 say ... seal my mouth ... full stop ...

3RDLY

Wat had happened during my missing-in-action period

1) CT kawin
(yup, da malaysian no 1 singer is finally + officially taken)

2) Happy 49th independence day to Malaysia

3) Manchester Pride 2006 (shud I elaborate more?)

4) I lost my summer buss pass and my stud id. SHAME!! dats da only stud id I've ot with my long hair pic on it..Siut tul arr!! *(&*!!!**&*^&!!)

5) My ex-junior from school passed away
al-fatihah to abidah
may she rests in eternal peace

6) Labour Annual Conference in Manchester
gosh ... now I know y all hotels and da lodges r fully booked .. CURSE da labours!! but not blair, please!!! cuz i do fancy @ like @ admire him. Seriously, i DO !!

2 all, I'm back. Thanks 4 da waking calls U've buzzed. Zack Idris is still alive and sound. He's officially recovered from a heart illness and is expected to be fit to work and to face life..

go go zackie !!!

A toast for da couple {P-A-S-R-A-H MODE}

" I have always said I wud make an announcement @ da appropriate time and today is da appropriate time for us to announce"

It was the moment waited upon with bated breath for months by almost da entire nation.

Finally, within da cool confines of a trendy hotel yesterday, pop darling CT Nurhaliza emerged 2gether wif da luv of her life businessman Datuk K J 4 da big announcement.

All eyes were on da couple, not just at da press conference, but across da country as da gfans followed dalive broadcast of da event on national tele.

Dis is da first ind a country's history has never b4 has any wedding announcement been broadcast live by any tv station. (Kelesssss gituh!!)

"If Only": More n More

Guys,

Can help reitereating the effect of dis movie to ma life now. -DAMN- Over da weekends I've been to WHSmiths, Blackwell n more than 10 bookstores around Manchester {wat else u name it} juz 2 find da book 'If Only'. It ends up being frustrated but I wont surrender. I've looked 4 da scripts in da nets over da nites but resulting in NOTHING - yi lek - ma fi - (H-A-M-P-E-H) .

Dis are reviews from various film experts and commentators (dats wat I've been told-lah). To those who havent seen the movie, da comments might give u a rough picture how splendid da movie is. (Hey, I dun get paid for promoting dis movie, but heaven's sake, I cant help myself from mentioning dis movie to everyone dat I know).

Review by Jackie K. Cooper - January 2006:

The ABC Family Channel has a winner in their new original movie "If Only"/ This Jennifer Love Hewitt/Paul Nicholls weeper will have teary-eyes teen-age hearts glued to their TV screens. (which is absolutely true in my case). Its cheesy, schmaltzy, corny and a lot of other derogatory words but whoc ares. It works.

Hewitt and Nicholls are lovers living in London. Samantha (Hewitt) is an American music student while Ian (Nicholls) is a successful young businessman. They appear to be in love but Ian has a hard time expressing his feelings and Samantha needs for him to appreciate her.

One day things do not great between them and at the end of the evening a tragic accident occurs. Ian is distraught. However, the next morning he awakes and finds he has gotten a 'do over' on this day. He may also be able to rearrange fate and save Sam's life.

Dis is da dreamy type of movie dat touches audiences heart and makes them wish dat fate wud be so kind to all of us. It turns on the tear ducts and jumps up and down on our emotions. And we Luv it !! (ermmmmm... wuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa .. A box of tissue is recommended for those who easily cried) - including me eh?!

Jennifer is at her ,ost beautiful and adorable. She makes Samantha a gal all of us wud love. Her character is also a singer and she delivers da songs pleasantly. Nicholls is a real find as Ian. He is remarkably good looking in a Jude Law sort of way. (Euwwwwwwwwwwwww, Nicholls is better, more gud looking to me) -ahakz- Plus he is a very talented actor. (am I bias?!). He and Hewitt are a gud combination and win over the hearts of all those watching their story.

Tom Wilkinson has a brief cameo as a wise cab driver. The role is so small you wonder why an actor of Wilkinson's stature wud take it. But it does add the enjoyment of the film.

"If Only" is a romantic movie dat will appeal to people of all ages. (I repeat - all ages!!!) . Women will enjoy it more than men but if they can convince their significant others to tune in with them, then a romantic evening can be had by all. (Sumone who got heart to feel, a mind to think and a soul to cherish) - which I think most humans have.

Mark dis down and dun miss it. Its da most romantic movie of da year. (so do tell out ur frens, bf(s), gf(s), boyfren's fren, galfren's fren, housemates, coursemates, ur family -if u dare- , ur pakciks, makciks, sepupu sepapat and all.)

Review From da Philippine Daily Inquirer:

Junger's bittersweet romance may not be everybody's cup of cinematic tea, but it serves as a cautionary reminder for peeps to appreciate da blessings dat come their way. It also dispenses lessons about loving and taking chances in life. As the film put it succintly: DEATH DOES'NT PUT AN END TO LOVE!!! (How so true !!!)

The movie showcases Hewitt's thespic chops-as well as her vocal pipes ... but, wat da movie really showcases is da considerable talent of British heartthrob Nicholls. We have been predicting a lucrative film career for Nicholls ever since we caught his remarkable thespic turn in Nicholas Wright's brilliant play on Van Gigh, "Vincent at Brixton@, at da Wyndham on London's West End. In dis film, he realises dat promise with his unique combination of dramatic skill and charisma.

Zap2it.com:

Jennifer Love Hewitt wont be kicking herseld, lamenting "If only I had made 'If Only' ". She's attached to start in the romantic comedy about a young couple who gets another chance to relieve and alter da day when one of them dies, report Variety.

"If Only" was originally going ti be made by Destination Films, which bought the script two and half years ago for a mid-six figure sum.

Gil Junger (10 Things I hate About You) - I luv dis movie too !! - has come abroad to direct Intermedia Films romantic comedy "If Only", with jennifer Love Hewitt attached to start, reports The Hollywood Reporter. "If Only" centres on a young couple given a second chance to relieve and change the events of a day when one of them dies. Christina Welsh wrote the original draft; Allison Burnett (Autumn in New York) is rewriting the project for the London setting. Uwuaaaaaa I wanna meet dis peeps.

Daily Mail (25 October, 2002):

Watch out for ....

Jennifer Love Hewitt, who is in London to prepare for her role in da romantic movie "if Only". She plays a musician smitten by a city businessman played by Paul Nicholls. Nicholls was recently at theNational Theatre and in da west end in Nicholas Wright's hit play Vincent in Brixton, which also featured Clare Higgins giving one of the year's best stage performances.

National Enquirer (21 November 2002):

Jennifer Love Hewitt's romance withu hunky British actor Paul Nicholls has gone from reel life to real life . . . the two have been spotted getting lovey-dovey inside her trailer. The former 'Party of Five' beauty is in London to start in and produce the movie "If Only", playing a musician who falls for a British businessman portrayed by Nicholls.

But set insiders say it didn't take long for da sizzling on-screen chemistry between da couple to spill over to their off-screen time. "Between takes they've been seen holding hands as they walk through da streets, n they dont seem to care who sees them," a movie insider disclosed."

"They're very lovey-dovey. On one day Paul was seen popping into Jennifer's trailer on two occasions, before and after lucnh, and I cud see two figures hugging and kissing inside."

Jennifer . . . who hit the big time with "I Know Wat U did Last Summer" . . . has packed a lot of romance into her 23 years.

Dats all I guess. Full Stop. Dot.

For Love of "If Only",
