Review by Jackie K. Cooper - January 2006:

The ABC Family Channel has a winner in their new original movie "If Only"/ This Jennifer Love Hewitt/Paul Nicholls weeper will have teary-eyes teen-age hearts glued to their TV screens. (which is absolutely true in my case). Its cheesy, schmaltzy, corny and a lot of other derogatory words but whoc ares. It works.

Hewitt and Nicholls are lovers living in London. Samantha (Hewitt) is an American music student while Ian (Nicholls) is a successful young businessman. They appear to be in love but Ian has a hard time expressing his feelings and Samantha needs for him to appreciate her.

One day things do not great between them and at the end of the evening a tragic accident occurs. Ian is distraught. However, the next morning he awakes and finds he has gotten a 'do over' on this day. He may also be able to rearrange fate and save Sam's life.

Dis is da dreamy type of movie dat touches audiences heart and makes them wish dat fate wud be so kind to all of us. It turns on the tear ducts and jumps up and down on our emotions. And we Luv it !! (ermmmmm... wuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa .. A box of tissue is recommended for those who easily cried) - including me eh?!

Jennifer is at her ,ost beautiful and adorable. She makes Samantha a gal all of us wud love. Her character is also a singer and she delivers da songs pleasantly. Nicholls is a real find as Ian. He is remarkably good looking in a Jude Law sort of way. (Euwwwwwwwwwwwww, Nicholls is better, more gud looking to me) -ahakz- Plus he is a very talented actor. (am I bias?!). He and Hewitt are a gud combination and win over the hearts of all those watching their story.

Tom Wilkinson has a brief cameo as a wise cab driver. The role is so small you wonder why an actor of Wilkinson's stature wud take it. But it does add the enjoyment of the film.

"If Only" is a romantic movie dat will appeal to people of all ages. (I repeat - all ages!!!) . Women will enjoy it more than men but if they can convince their significant others to tune in with them, then a romantic evening can be had by all. (Sumone who got heart to feel, a mind to think and a soul to cherish) - which I think most humans have.

Mark dis down and dun miss it. Its da most romantic movie of da year. (so do tell out ur frens, bf(s), gf(s), boyfren's fren, galfren's fren, housemates, coursemates, ur family -if u dare- , ur pakciks, makciks, sepupu sepapat and all.)

Review From da Philippine Daily Inquirer:

Junger's bittersweet romance may not be everybody's cup of cinematic tea, but it serves as a cautionary reminder for peeps to appreciate da blessings dat come their way. It also dispenses lessons about loving and taking chances in life. As the film put it succintly: DEATH DOES'NT PUT AN END TO LOVE!!! (How so true !!!)

The movie showcases Hewitt's thespic chops-as well as her vocal pipes ... but, wat da movie really showcases is da considerable talent of British heartthrob Nicholls. We have been predicting a lucrative film career for Nicholls ever since we caught his remarkable thespic turn in Nicholas Wright's brilliant play on Van Gigh, "Vincent at Brixton@, at da Wyndham on London's West End. In dis film, he realises dat promise with his unique combination of dramatic skill and charisma.

Zap2it.com:

Jennifer Love Hewitt wont be kicking herseld, lamenting "If only I had made 'If Only' ". She's attached to start in the romantic comedy about a young couple who gets another chance to relieve and alter da day when one of them dies, report Variety.

"If Only" was originally going ti be made by Destination Films, which bought the script two and half years ago for a mid-six figure sum.

Gil Junger (10 Things I hate About You) - I luv dis movie too !! - has come abroad to direct Intermedia Films romantic comedy "If Only", with jennifer Love Hewitt attached to start, reports The Hollywood Reporter. "If Only" centres on a young couple given a second chance to relieve and change the events of a day when one of them dies. Christina Welsh wrote the original draft; Allison Burnett (Autumn in New York) is rewriting the project for the London setting. Uwuaaaaaa I wanna meet dis peeps.

Daily Mail (25 October, 2002):

Watch out for ....

Jennifer Love Hewitt, who is in London to prepare for her role in da romantic movie "if Only". She plays a musician smitten by a city businessman played by Paul Nicholls. Nicholls was recently at theNational Theatre and in da west end in Nicholas Wright's hit play Vincent in Brixton, which also featured Clare Higgins giving one of the year's best stage performances.

National Enquirer (21 November 2002):

Jennifer Love Hewitt's romance withu hunky British actor Paul Nicholls has gone from reel life to real life . . . the two have been spotted getting lovey-dovey inside her trailer. The former 'Party of Five' beauty is in London to start in and produce the movie "If Only", playing a musician who falls for a British businessman portrayed by Nicholls.

But set insiders say it didn't take long for da sizzling on-screen chemistry between da couple to spill over to their off-screen time. "Between takes they've been seen holding hands as they walk through da streets, n they dont seem to care who sees them," a movie insider disclosed."

"They're very lovey-dovey. On one day Paul was seen popping into Jennifer's trailer on two occasions, before and after lucnh, and I cud see two figures hugging and kissing inside."

Jennifer . . . who hit the big time with "I Know Wat U did Last Summer" . . . has packed a lot of romance into her 23 years.

Dats all I guess. Full Stop. Dot.

For Love of "If Only",
